As a volunteer working behind the scenes with Just One Africa performing various tasks that help keep the momentum of change in motion, it is my delight to see all the amazing changes they are able to make in the lives of SO many.

The heart behind Just One Africa and it’s founders is that change happens in everyONE’s life touched by their presence. No ONE person or ONE life is to be untouched. The process begins in Kenya and touches lives across oceans then ultimately returns back to the communities in Kenya, where it began. The beads from the bead program are handmade by the widows and young mothers in Kenya, purchased by J1A and brought here to the states where teens in the “I AM One” clubs string the beads and then teams of volunteers and others, finalize the process of turning these beads into beautiful jewelry, ornaments, bookmarks and the like. With every touch to these products, lives are being changed for the better, knowing they are making a difference for someONE.

This organization is true to who they say they are. The founders gracefully demonstrate an earthy example of what Jesus asks of us as servants and disciples. To be able to serve with an organization who positively impacts the number of lives that Just One Africa does is honestly humbling to me! The work they do is awe-inspiring and encouraging to me! Just One Africa provides hope where hope seems impossible and it is done from a true servants HEART!

I had the privilege of hearing Amy (Director/Co-Founder) speak at an event in my hometown all the way in Minnesota and wow! It’s truly incredible how this organization uses so many practical resources to not only help those in multiple communities around Kenya, but to keep building upon them as well. They truly understand the term “sustainable growth” and are demonstrating that in all that they do. From their amazing water filters, to beautiful handcrafted beaded jewelry, to dairy cows, and so much more, this organization knows how build up communities in so many simple, yet innovative ways. Keep up the awesome work Just One Africa!! :D

I interact with hundreds of nonprofits in my job. In all my time working with nonprofits around the world, Just One Africa stands out as a standout, excellent, world-class organization of the highest caliber. I’ve spent time with the founders and their local partners in Kenya, and have seen the impact that each and every gift delivers. Giving to Just One Africa is truly one of the simplest ways you could change someone’s life.

My wife and I had the opportunity to have dinner with the founders, Clay and Amy Churchill. When we got to hear their heart and passion for everything happening in Kenya, we were both so moved and wanted to find a way to be a part! We own a small business, and believe in what they’re doing so much, we decided we wanted to begin donating a portion of every sale to Just One Africa’s clean water campaign, and are so excited to begin sowing into the great work they’re doing in Kenya! It’s such an honor to be a part of something so impactful. We trust that our finances are not just being given away, but invested into truly sustainable change in the communities they work with. So thankful for the opportunity to meet the founders and be a part of this great cause!

I worked on a fundraising campaign for Just One Africa with a gym I belong to. The fundraiser was a huge success in great part due to the level of professionalism and excellence with which Just One Africa operates. Once they received the proceeds of our fundraiser, Amy from Just One Africa traveled to Kenya and immediately put our funds to work, providing water filters for a local community. She sent us pictures and update videos on the work they were doing. It was really rewarding to see our gym logo on water filters across the globe, but more than that, to see and hear about the impact of our donations directly from the families in Kenya. I plan to continue partnering with Just One Africa in the years to come.

My daughter served with Just One for a month in Kenya this summer. Her experience with Just One, the Hope Beyond school, Dorcus and the Churchills was indescribable and life changing. She spent a month working closely with the kids, shadowing the social workers and experiencing life in rural Kenya first hand.

The organization is extremely well run. They support the local community and students through the school and water filter distribution. Many of the children they work with have recently left child marriages and have little formal education. Our daughter has already talked about returning to Kenya with Just One.

Just One Africa is an AMAZING organization that makes a tremendous difference in Kenya. As a donor, I know the money I give is being used wisely. The organization regularly shares photos and information via social media to keep us informed on projects. I, along with other donors, have also been given the opportunity to meet face-to-face with some of the Kenyan community leaders the organization works with and have heard directly from them about the work being done there.

In addition to their great work in Kenya, Just One Africa does amazing work in their local community. As a teacher, I sponsor my school’s Just One club; I love interacting with the students and Amy Churchill as the students participate in life-changing work. JOA has helped to create these clubs at numerous schools in the area. Furthermore, Mrs. Churchill has been incredibly generous with her time and has come to share about her organization’s clean water program with my social studies students for many years now. I am so grateful for this organization and how it helps make learning more meaningful for students.

Loving on people IS LIFE! Just One Africa is a place and people you can give to, serve with, and invest in that daily LOVE ON PEOPLE all around the world. Your life will be fuller and your heart enlarged by getting involved. Your dollars, your hour of time, your prayer, your letter to a child, your time spent on the ground in Kenya will change lives forever (including yours!) :) We make time for those who are important to us. Children, widows, and families are the heart of JOA!

I’ve had the wonderful privilege of seeing first hand the heart and hands behind JOA. This is a family that lives out their mission and are working to build relationships with others who have a heart to give, serve, and make their lives worth something more than just their own. I was able to be a part of a trip to Kenya with JOA to help distribute hundreds of water filters in very remote areas, provide school supplies and teacher development to schools, and spend time with children, women, and families in desperate life circumstances. My heart was broken for the hurt and need of the people I met and saw, but even more, my desire to make a difference and love on those that have seemingly been forgotten or those who are unseen was renewed. It can be easy to forget that so many live in despair and unthinkable circumstances when it’s not in front of you on a consistent basis. It is easy to get in “the rut” of my daily schedule and not remember that millions of children are orphaned, starving, and without hope. There are widows who have lost everything and wonder how to make it to another day. JOA is an amazing organization that MAKES A DIFFERENCE in the lives of people. It is tangible! It is hope! It is love!

Come be a part of making a difference in lives! You will not ever regret the decision to invest in another person’s life! Their life will be touched with your love, and your heart will be filled as well!

Our family has been connected with JustOne for several years, and we continue to be impressed with their commitment to empowering local leaders in various communities in Kenya. By partnering with them, JustOne has been able to help reduce water-borne diseases, educate children, lift up widows, and protect vulnerable groups. It is simply amazing what they have done and continue to do, ‘Just One’ person at a time.

I always liked non-profits and supporting a cause, but once I met the founders of Just One and heard their passion for giving clean water to remote areas of Kenya where people are dying of water borne illnesses I not only put my money up but I offered my time to go on a trip and see it first hand. That one trip changed my life completely. I went from thinking I knew what I wanted to do, to completely changing my career path to advocate for needs in Kenya. My heart was transformed by the little lives I met at an orphanage there and I found myself and my family growing to hold these children in our hearts and prayers. Without Just One, our house would not be filled with pictures of Kenyans that we pray over daily and while we would have more money that we didn’t donate and have more time we didn’t volunteer, we would be empty of this new adventure that has changed the whole family. We’ve seen people’s lives change from drinking clean water. We’ve seen the sick be healed by something we take for granted. We all have clean water in America, so our friends in Africa should too. Just One is changing that and we are honored to be a part of it.

The Churchills were kind enough to help us with our volunteer activity for work. He and his wife brought us handcrafted beads to string together to create bracelets and necklaces. The story behind how the beads were created by the families we are helping in Africa was amazing. Also, the presentation they put together to explain why their organization thrives when it comes to helping those in Africa was great as well.

I can say that this could be a yearly event for my team. Hands down, awesome work and an awesome cause.

I started volunteering and was an intern back in 2015 after stumbling upon their website and, by the grace of God, Just One Africa hired me as a Program Manager after graduating. The family behind this nonprofit is about as authentic as you can get. The emphasis on transparency with financials is evident. Just One Africa really does put their mission at the center of all of their decision. Not only do they want to make a difference in Africa, but they create empowerment for the individual here in the United States where that person really does feel like they’re making a difference. I love how the organization puts real faces and names with the stories of the impact they’re making in communities. I also just love their jewelry! Everything is so beautiful. I cannot wait to get to go to Kenya with them!

JUST ONE AFRICA has done amazing things in LENKAI CHRISTIAN SCHOOL.From the time i joined lenkai as a head teacher many projects have been funded by JUST ONE AFRICA and they have gone along way to improve the livelihood of of the vulnerable children in Lenkai Christian School and the community as well.
These income generating projects are as follows:-

My wife and I have been privileged to work very closely with the founders of Just One Africa on the ground and also in the US. We are blessed to know them personally, and to witness their commitment to doing all they can to meet needs among the forgotten of this world. Their belief that each life matters and that it is ok to act on behalf of just one human being has been very inspiring to us and to many others in Kenya. It has resulted in the transformation of hundreds of lives in very tangible ways.

As Kenyans acquainted with much need all around us, we can testify to the need for likeminded people to partner with us in our efforts to see lives changed. Clay and Amy, and their family members, are some of the best partners one could ever hope for, both in good as well as in difficult times. From management of funds to unconditional love for those they serve, their diligence and approach to service far exceed expectations.

We hold no reservations of any kind in recommending them, and we are excited to see Just One Africa grow and receive the recognition it deserves. Many larger organisations could learn much from them.

I had the most wonderful opportunity to work with the directors of Just One Africa, Clay and Amy Churchill on their most recent trip to Kenya. What they do is so much more than giving clean water. Working with them, I learned about how much their organization relies on building relationships in the communities they work in. These relationships grow, and open new opportunities to further the cause to not only give filters to clean water, but to inform. In every place they place filters, they also educate the community, explaining why the water is unclean, and how it effects the community, and how they can solve the problem with the water filters. Even listening to Amy explain the raw data she has collected, how communities and families with these water filters no longer have water born disease, was astonishing. I was so moved during this trip. Being able to help support this foundation was a true blessing to myself, and to the community I was helping! As I would hand each person their filter, I watched the gratitude on their face. I know that even though I was helping Just One house, or Just One community, it was reversing a time old issue. I am so grateful for all that Clay and Amy Churchill do, and I am so happy I was able to be part of furthering their mission; to help all the people of Kenya by reaching for Just One!

I am so grateful for the experience I had with Just One Africa in Kenya last month. My wife and I led a group from our church to join Just One for two weeks in Kenya. Our church had previously given to some projects of theirs over there and now we had the opportunity to see first hand what we had given to. First off I must say that the Churchill’s are an amazing family that truly love people, and through their organization they are doing many great things. I am very impressed with their local partners in Kenya and how they are strategic in what they choose to invest in. Just One is so much more than just water filters! Through local schools, children’s homes, and other partners the next generation is being blessed and given greater opportunity and hope for the future. Two of my favorite places we worked at were Lenkai Christian School and Valley Light Children’s home. The leadership at these places are wonderful people. Just One has been working with both of these places towards sustainability. We were able to see the water well that my church donated towards a year or so ago as well as bio fuel generation and farming practices that will provide sustainable provision for the kids they serve and the surrounding communities.
Thank you Just One Africa!

Just One Africa, Inc. is led by two of the most loving and dedicated people I have ever met, Amy and Clay Churchill. I have seen first hand that their investment, both financial and time spent in Kenya, has deeply impacted the lives of orphan children and families in need; water filters, business training, and life skills, with tremendous success. Their commitment to excellence in providing the necessary resources and training for the people who are blessed to be a part of their programs has created a channel by which women can obtain better-paying jobs so to help provide for the needs of their families. They use African solutions to help provide tangible answers to real-life problems. I strongly recommend the support of Just One Africa.

This is the first time our school has been involved with Just One Africa. Our students meet with Amy Churchill to bead bracelets which help provide clean water to Kenya, Africa. Amy’s presentation teaches the students about the world, and how they can make a difference. They get a chance to see what they take for granted, and how to help others.

We love Amy, Clay and their family. They do so much for others and shine a light everywhere that they go. This organization is such a great experience for everyone involved. It helps to know that beading one bracelet can help a whole village in Kenya get clean water. We also had a chance to write letters and make friendship bracelets for the kids in Kenya.

For the past 13 years I have been involved in the non-profit world and during that time I have seen many good ones, and some not so good. I have been fortunate to find a really great organization in Just One Africa. With my experience of developing, maintaining, and growing non-profits, Just One Africa is right at the top of the list in providing multiple services and support to areas in Kenya, with only 1 paid staff member and many volunteers. It is remarkable at how much Just One Africa is able to accomplish with their funds. In an analysis of their budget, I have found that over 90% of their money and volunteer efforts go directly to programs and services to build better lives for those in Kenya.

I have known Clay and Amy since they were in grade school where I was their principal!
Finally got to join them on a trip to Kenya this June and see what the impact they are having.
Wow! It is amazing to see what a couple can do when they see the need and determine they can make a difference. One well at a school and orphanage changed so much for that community. They now have their own water, can sell water to the community and can irrigate their crops and grow 4 crops each year when normally only one crop is grown during the rainy season. They also provide all the vegetables for their orphanage and crops to sell in the market to fund their school.
The water filters given to families are having a tremendous impact on health and even saving lives. I have seen the water sources these communities have and clean water is a huge step forward for them.
What a privilege to partner with this effort and know how much they are accomplishing with the funds that are donated.

Just One Africa, Inc. changed the way our students thought about the world in general and more specifically overall. The presentation delivered by Amy and Clay Churchill provided a window into what was happening outside of Atlanta, GA. It also had us questioning the things we took for granted, such as clean water, education and electricity. Writing letters to the orphans also made us question what was important and humane. This Impact Project caused many students to weep, question out loud and thank God for all the things he had given them, but also wonder what could they do to make a difference. May God continue to bless the Churchill’s and Just One Africa, Inc. You truly make a difference and we need you to survive.

Every aspect of what they do is what I look for in a nonprofit that I want to support and that I feel passionate about. The Kenyan women who make the beads that we string, are providing for the futures of the families. The students that string them, learn compassion for others and how to impact the world in a tangible way. 100% of the profit goes directly to providing clean water, thus preventing disease.
